I have no experience of brands; will I still be able to use the programme?
The programme has been devised to help anybody who wants to develop their personal brand, no matter how much or, how little experience they have in the world of brands. Even those who work with well-known brands will benefit from following the programme, as it sets out exactly how to create a winning personal brand. Whilst there may be some overlap with commercial brands, this programme guides users through the steps ensuring that they focus on the important factors at the right stage. WhyMe? is an efficient and convenient approach even for the highly experienced as the ready-made programme lays out the steps you need to follow in a logical manner so all you need to concentrate on is your own information.
As the programme comes complete with full instructions and guidance notes, explaining not just what you need to do but how you should do it using concrete examples, it is perfect for the complete novice. WhyMe? has been specifically designed to take the hassle out of creating your own personal brand. All you need to do is follow the instructions to fill in your own unique experience and skills when you are asked.
We want everyone who buys WhyMe? to be utterly comfortable with the programme. So, if you do feel you need some more help then just get in touch and we will do what we can to make sure you get the result you deserve.
What if I haven’t got many (or any) formal qualifications?
Don’t worry! That’s the whole point about WhyMe? – not everyone is an ‘academic’, but that shouldn’t hold anyone back. Use WhyMe? to build your story: your values, your talents, your strengths. There are very many examples of people who have got to the top without formal qualifications.
What if I need more help?
Although the programme has been devised as a DIY programme, which you can successfully complete yourself in your own time, we do understand that sometimes you may feel you need a little more help. That’s absolutely fine and we have several options – from a phone call to explain something to a more comprehensive session to walk you through the programme. Just get in touch to tell us what help you require, and we can sort out the best solution.
What if I need more time?
Personal brands are growing in popularity so there is no time like the present to create yours. You want to be ahead of the curve not behind it, playing catch up. You could complete the programme in as little as a weekend although we recommend that ideally you take a week or so to get the best possible version you can.
It's very easy to buy something and then leave it sitting on the shelf gathering dust but that’s not going to help you move your career on. That’s why we have built a finite time into our licence agreements – we want you to create your personal brand as quickly as possible so that it can start working for you straight away.
However, if you do find you haven’t got around to it before your agreement ends then get in touch and we can look at extending it as we know that sometimes life just gets in the way.
How do I save it?
All your worksheets can be saved in a format of your choosing so that you can refer to them whenever you need.
Can I print it?
You can save and print your worksheets whenever you choose.
What if I want to change it later?
Step 4 in the programme encourages you to review your draft definition prior to finalising it – this is good practice and ensures that you get the best possible version of your personal brand definition. Once you have finalised it, you can of course change it and over time you will want to as your career and life evolve.
It is important to create the best version you can but it is also important that you set your personal brand to work. Nothing in life is ever perfect so at some stage you will need to say that is good enough and set your brand to work as that is how you will achieve the results you need. We recommend that once you have got to a stage where you are happy you finalise your brand definition and then leave it alone for a couple of years or to a point where your circumstances have changed, whichever comes sooner.
